How to connect a motor with two batterys?
im doing an electric scooter, and I have two 12v batterys 24v engine and a switch that I need to connect the two. scematic would be a really nice, but nothing with the work please help
Connect the negative terminal of a battery to the positive terminal of the other. This leaves two unconnected terminals, one on each battery. One of the terminals are not connected will be positive and the other will be negative. Connect to negative terminal at one of the connections on the engine. Similarly, connect the positive terminal of the battery to the other connection on the engine, but in this thread, between the battery and motor, you put the switch. If there is no indication of positive or negative connections engine, you can temporarily batteries in the engine and check if the rotation is the right way. Otherwise, just change the connections on the engine, replacing the negative with the positive, and vice versa. Of course, I do not need to say you should not connect the positive and negative together on the same battery! : O)
