How do you remove rust from an electric scooter / moped razor?
Thank you. My brother left my scooter outside for a while when I was not there, and now it is rust on metal parts. Also, if anyone knows how to get comletely the gunk that stickers leave out of plastic that would help too. Oh, and it would be helpful if it was a handcrafted Best! response obtained 10 points!
"Naval Jelly" (available in the United States, at least) is the old favorite, available in hardware stores. As the poster above suggests, the product "CLR" removes calcium, lime and rust, and you may have already cleaned the kitchen room bath. Any strong acid should also work (hydrochloric, etc., but something like vinegar is probably not strong enough .. usually 4%).
